Extreme Couponing Craze: Is It Worth The Time?

Extreme couponing is all the craze right now, but I am many are left wondering ? is it worth the time? Times are tight right now, and even if they weren?t, you need to save where you can. When TLC?s show Extreme Couponing came out people went bananas. The people featured on the show take home hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars in groceries. But to these are very extreme examples, and most cannot have such success. Since the coupon craze people are taking it to another level. Unpurchased papers are missing the coupon inserts, paper machines are empty, and so are store shelves. Many stores have changed their policies, or have at least cracked down, to the point cashiers are hesitant when you come up with your stack of coupons. So is it worth the time? I am not sure yet. I would say spending hours equivalent to a full time job is not worth it, but certainly checking out sites to see what deals are out there, and matching up coupons is definitely worth it.
