New tracks from Lady Gaga?s born this way continue to hit the web. The success of her new record has been epic, but is it overrated? Every week a new single, and for me, every week another sigh. It seems this record is struggling to live up to her first round of releases. The Fame and The Fame Monster together were probably the best pop albums of the decade. So far, Born This Way is somewhat of a disappointment?but that hasn?t stopped if from being wildly successful. When she performed Born This Way at the Grammy?s I felt like a kid who asked for a specific present for Christmas, waited for months, then ripped into a box under the tree to find it is not what I asked for. I didn?t get the big, battery powered Optimus Prime robot, instead I got an Etch-A-Sketch. Sure, the Etch-A-Sketch will keep me quiet in the back seat for a while. But I will always dream of the shiny Optimus Prime. That?s just how I feel about her new record. I expected more Gaga brilliance, but I got something very different.
